The baby needs to be placed on the curved tray to get the weight reading. The plastic tray is detachable and can be washed. Baby scales are commonly found in paediatric clinics and hospitals.

Laboratory scale

Laboratory scales are used in laboratories in hospitals, pharmacies, universities, research facilities, etc. These are high precision scales used to weigh chemical compounds, drugs and other elements used in laboratories. High precision is the most important feature in laboratory scales with calibrations to even 1/1000th of a gram.
